Indigo Tones Blog Colorful Lives Soft Summer Anne Lindyberg

It is a pleasure to introduce you to Anne Lindyberg. It has been inspiring to see how Anne has approached life since her color analysis. She completely embraced her Soft Summer colors and all the information provided in the consultation. She had the confidence to let her hair evolve to her natural gray and the overall affect is harmonious, appealing and surprisingly youthful.

Her holistic approach in life informs her work as a Counselor and how she builds her wardrobe. Establishing trust with clients is key. In a telehealth environment, it is important to convey a confident, pulled together look via a screen with limited personal interaction. She radiates as someone who knows herself and can help others do the same.

What prompted you to have a color analysis?

Our daughters are good friends and Kerry gave my daughter Genevieve the generous gift of a color analysis for high school graduation. I noticed right away a change in how my Gen looked when wearing her new colors. That got my attention. I was in my late forties and feeling more challenge around looking my best, plus I have never liked to shop for clothes. It exhausts me, all the decisions! I thought, perhaps if I knew the best colors to choose, it would make shopping easier and I'd look my best with less struggle.

How has it changed your life?

Exactly as I hoped. Choosing clothes and makeup became easier. I adjusted my hair color before I reclaimed my natural gray, and both enhanced my look, in large part due to wearing my colors.  I knew it must've been a good decision because I started receiving so many compliments.

In what ways has it changed the way you approach your business?

I enjoy having one less thing to worry about as regards looking my best. I also chose the colors I use on my letterhead and website from my palette (computer monitors are not always consistent, and as I relied on my monitor when choosing, I may not have gotten them right. We'll see. I can always adjust down the line!). I noticed during the analysis itself (which was a lot of fun!) that there is something about the energy of my colors that makes me feel very happy. Now every time I look at my clothing, the space I created and everything I developed for support of my business--my colors provide a supportive foundation.

As a counselor I've been doing telehealth sessions from my home most of the time. My favorite things to wear while I'm working are soft shirts with a neckline that can be dressed up with a necklace, earrings and makeup, although often the tops themselves are quite casual. Even when I'm wearing ath-leisure for my slacks, which my clients can't see, I make sure they're in one of my colors. I never have to worry about my colors matching. They always do!

What has been the biggest challenge?

I can't always find the colors I'm looking for. Sometimes if I'm shopping in a particular store I will see styles I like, but the colors are all wrong. I used to mope and lament... now I just leave and don't worry!

Any interesting things happen while you were wearing your colors?

I've received so many spontaneous and surprising compliments while wearing my colors--in restaurants, stores. It's not something I talk about generally but it always surprises me how people go out of their way to say something generous.

What was the biggest surprise?

I was most surprised by how it really made my life easier to be able to identify the colors that were best for me. It made such a difference. This affected my confidence and gave me more energy for living the rest of my life, for pursuing my passions.

Tell me about your favorite color in your palette

My whole life, blue was always my favorite color. A medium, dusty-soft blue is probably my favorite. It feels so soothing to look at.

Tell me about your closet

My closet is really a work in progress. I didn't buy very much during 2020, like most people. Plus I put on weight, so this spring I really needed to get quite a few new items.

The dress I'm wearing in my picture is a recent purchase from my trip to Maine this June. I was at the L.L. Bean outlet for the first time in probably two decades. I had an armload of clothes as I headed toward the fitting rooms. As I walked in I saw this simple, A-line dress on the rack to be returned. It caught my eye and I added it to my pile. It was the most expensive item, but once I put it on I had to have it. The colors thrilled me and it fit perfectly. I couldn't find another dress like it anywhere in the store, not any size. For me it felt like one of a kind. Plus, the whole dress has careful attention to detail, and is indigo-dyed cotton.

Natural fabrics and colors are so important to me. I don't talk much about this passion of mine, but I love natural fabrics and colors and I wish we would all get more serious about considering the impact of our consumption on the Earth.

I observed grace under pressure in a high pitched environment when I met this month’s Bright Winter feature: Cindy Christi at the United States National Pageant several years ago. As founder of Cindy Christi TV, Cindy helps CEO’s, Speakers, Best Selling Authors, On-Air Personalities and Pageant Contestants fall in love with their brand voice, so they can step into the spotlight and lead their legacy with confidence, clarity and ease.

Our roles at the pageant were aligned in helping the contestants and National Titleholders shine on stage and throughout their reign. Cindy’s professionalism and ease in front of the camera and steadying presence onstage set the tone for contestants and the pageant as a whole.

I noticed how she stood out in some of the bright clothing she wore and offered to determine which bright colors were her best; Bright Winter? Bright Spring?

It was clear right away that she was a Bright Winter when I started draping her.  Wow! She truly lights up the room in the right pops of color.

Learn more about Cindy’s color-filled journey and how applying her perfect shades elevates her brand, business and homelife in this month’s Colorful Lives blog.

Indigo Tones Colorful Lives Blog featuring Cool Winter Danny Sirianni
Colorful Lives, Cool Winter Danny Sirianni

The past year I had the fortune to get to know an amazing couple who uniquely embraced growth through color and brought much inspiration to me personally and professionally. They worked as a team with me to modify their wardrobes, redo their closet and bring all they learned during their color consultation into other aspects of their lives.

In October, I introduced you to Warm Autumn, Erin Sirianni and now it is my pleasure for you to meet her Cool Winter husband, Danny.  While Danny's coloring is dark and cool, his personality is warm and open. As a Realtor and business owner of Sirianni Realty, he understands that real estate decisions are made visually and viscerally. He saw immediately the value in wearing flattering and harmonious colors and promptly incorporated it into his approach to his business.

Read more about his journey in this month's colorful lives blog.
